MP Propose to charge expatriates 1200 KD annually for driving licence

Member of Parliament Khaled Al-Otaibi suggested to charge expatriates who have a driving license to pay KD 1,200 annually to resolve traffic congestion. He added that expatriates who work as private drivers for families should be spared from the fee. He said that this measure will help ease traffic jams on roads, which have become a major source of accidents that result in casualties.

Otaibi said his proposal will reduce the number of vehicles on the roads and will contribute to resolving the traffic crisis.

  1. Never heard of a bigger idiot than this MP. He should propose to cut down the number of registration of new cars like many countries have the best example is Sigapore and develop fast and efficient public transport system like Dubai. But I guess Kuwaitis will remain the most stupid nation of the gulf
