Bahrain shuts Al Rawabi Private School due to COVID-19 outbreak
Bahrain’s Ministry of Health has shut down Al Rawabi Private School for 10 days from Monday as a precautionary measure after the detection of coronavirus cases among its pupils, local media said.
A circular announcing the shutdown was issued by the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, in coordination with the Ministry of Education.
Students will continue learning online. The school will not reopen unless no cases are diagnosed during the period and the school is completely free of COVID-19.
Government schools were allowed to reopen on October 25 for two days a week along with distance learning, as part of the Education Ministry’s plan for the gradual resumption of classes.
