Assembly Election 2020: Delhi is all set to vote today!
Delhi is set to vote to appoint a new government after a campaign in which the BJP has not pulled any punches against the AAP that is in office for another term. The Congress is the third major force in the contest, where 672 nominees are in the fray for 70 seats in the parliament.
More than 1.47 Crore voters are eligible for franchise workouts. Voting starts at 8 am and ends at 6 pm.
Trying to ride on tech-savvy components such as QR codes and mobile apps, polling officials have prepared for polls, made tight security arrangements across the country’s capital, and maintained an extra vigil in Shaheen Bagh and other sensitive polling regions.
About 40,000 security forces, 19,000 home security personnel and 190 Central Armed Police Forces companies have been stationed by police to ensure seamless actions of the poll.
