Amnesty: Illegal expats can leave Kuwait till April 30
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Saleh issued a decree to exempt every residency violators from paying fines if he leave the country.
The amnesty will be from April 1- April 30
Those who do not leave the country by the stipulated deadline will be required to pay penalties and will not be allowed to return to Kuwait. once they are deported.
If they make use of the opportunity presented in the decree announced by the interior minister, they can leave the country without paying fines.
As of 27th March in Kuwait, 225 diagnosed, 168 under treatment, 11 critical condition, 57 recovered and 211 under quarantine.
Coronavirus numbers worldwide more than 591,778 people have contracted the virus and at least 26,996 have died.
The decree by deputy PM Anas Al-Saleh on March 26, however, did not give any reason why the opportunity was being given for illegal residents to leave without paying fines.
