28649 recorded covid-19 cases: will things progress or regress?
Kuwait on Tuesday, reported 887 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, taking to 28649 its infection tally, the Health Ministry said.
The Health Ministry also reported 6 more deaths from COVID-19, taking to 226 the total such fatalities in Kuwait.
All the new cases were in contact with previously infected people or are being investigated for sources of infection, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said in a media update.
The Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, announced the recovery of 1382 cases of patients with (COVID-19), raising the number of cases that recovered and were recovering in the country to 14281.
The Kuwait cooperative societies working hours will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 AM during the partial curfew, Chairperson of the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies Fahad Al-Enezi said.
Alongside, parallel markets will be able to operate between 6:00 am to 5:30 pm local-time prior to the partial curfew, said the Kuwaiti Municipality Saturday. The policy will begin as of Sunday, May 31, indicated a municipality press release.
The fish market in Sharq opened its doors with entry in the market with prior reservation/appointment system, local fish and imported fish was available.
Meanwhile Public Authority for Agriculture is still set on to prevent the fishing of Pomfret fish (Zubaidi), Maid fish and Shrimps in addition to not allowing export of fishing done in Kuwait waters among the demands of the Kuwait Federation of Fishermen and agriculture to exclude this season from ban and allow fishing.
Kuwait Ministry of Interior stated that the residents of the isolated areas are allowed to leave their homes, within the curfew area only but are not allowed to go out of their area even with curfew permit. The partial curfew in Kuwait will be from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Kuwait government decides to change the total curfew to a partial curfew. The health minister said easing the curfew will be among the first phase in a 5-phases plan, each to last at least 3 weeks, to go back to normal life.
