225 Indians in Kuwait Infected By Coronavirus

Ministry of Health Kuwait statistics showed that 225 new cases of coronavirus were among the Indian community.

As of Sunday, Kuwait reports 77 news cases of coronavirus, 60 Indians.

58 Indians were in contact with other confirmed cases.

Authorities are investigating the source of infection for another two Indians who are tested positive for coronavirus.

On Saturday, Kuwait reported the first coronavirus related death in the country for an Indian national.

Coronavirus in India: The total number of coronavirus cases in India rose to 3374, including 79 deaths, the Indian Council of Medical Research said there was no evidence of COVID-19 being an airborne infection.

With more than 400 cases so far, Maharashtra (490), Tamil Nadu (485) and Delhi (445) remained the worst-hit states. Apart from these, the highest number of confirmed cases were reported in Kerala (306), Telangana (269), Uttar Pradesh (227), Rajasthan (200), Andhra Pradesh (161), Karnataka (144), Gujarat (105) and Madhya Pradesh (104).

Meanwhile, US president Donald Trump called on India to release orders of hydroxychloroquine, an antimalarial drug that has been identified as a potential treatment for coronavirus, as New Delhi tightened export restrictions to combat rising infections.

Coronavirus numbers worldwide more than 1,213,024 people have contracted the virus and 65,652 have died.
